WE'RE BACK...
It's been a few weeks since the last issue of the Captain's Report. Along with the crew of the Seaview I decided I, too, needed to take a shore leave. Well... the Report is back. With any kind of luck I'll try to get back on schedule.

Many thanks to Paulette for submitting the news coverage of the "Holiday Gala" with our crew.

HOLIDAY GALA

Reported by: Paulette

The NIMR Annual Holiday Gala was held Saturday evening (December 22nd) in the Atlantis Room on the Institute grounds. The room was transformed into a sea of brilliant colors, sights and sounds. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned each corner of the room. Pine garland and mistletoe hung over the doorways.

Admiral Harriman Nelson and Captain Lee Crane (looking quite handsome in their dress whites) were the hosts for the formal evening. Special guests included Ms. Edith Nelson (the Admiral's sister), Admiral Jiggs Starke and Rear Admiral John Tobin, to name a few.

While guests dined on a fabulous buffet consisting of seafood, roast beef, parsley potatoes, vegetables and an array of sumptuous desserts, the band played a variety of seasonal music.

After the meal, the music continued for everyone's dancing pleasure. even Admiral Nelson was seen "cutting the rug"!

It was quite a magical evening for all.
