October 7, 2001 Santa Barbara, CA. Vol. 1 No. 4
CONTENTS
The Captain's Report, a new feature of The Captain's Log, is a weekly newsletter bringing the latest news of the Seaview and her crew...

New Security
After a major review of the security measures aboard Seaview... and with the possibility of enemy agents and assorted aliens that are often aboard the Seaview... Admiral Nelson has announced a new security device has been installed for the safety of the entire crew... The Admiral words were well received when he announced... "We NOW have a lock on the circuitry room door"

Weekly Poll
This week's poll involves Cmdr. Morton. It seems that the word of his ability has reached some people very high in the Navy. Chip has received an offer to be the Captain of one of the newest nuclear subs, soon to be launched. He's interested in the offer, but he is also thinking of his shipmates aboard the Seaview and the many voyages still to come. He simply can't make a final decision... and needs "your" help. Should he take the offer ... or stay aboard the Seaview?

Your vote should be made by private email. Results to be included in next weeks Captain's Report.

Global Warming (part 4)
It's been reported that communication had been restored with the Seaview, but only for a few minutes. Admiral Nelson advised his staff at the Institute that they have found the cause of the undersea fissure. To avoid a worldwide panic, Nelson has ordered that the details of the findings be kept from the media. Further information as it becomes available.

FIFTH SEASON!!!
The staff of the Captain's Report has received word on good authority from an unreliable source at the ABC television network, that twenty-five films that were scheduled for the fifth season of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea have been located. Discussions are now underway among the top brass at ABC to reinstate the series and release the found episodes. They realize that the series has gained more popularity over the years and feel the time is right to send the Seaview on many new missions.
