On a personal note
You will note that I have not made my usual announcement on the Captain's Log mail listing about this weeks update. It seems that the Captain's Report is not appreciated by some. I have once again received emails "telling" me that the Report is simply a waste of time and is just an shallow attempt to put something new on the Log, to cover up the fact that it's the only way I can get new updates...

I had thought that the Report could be a little bit of fun for everyone... a kind of momentary escape from reality. It never dawned on me, I guess, that writing on your own website could be a problem.

I do appreciate those of you that have taken the time to vote in the polls in recent weeks. But I'm still considering if the Captain's report will continue as a part of the Log.

Global Warming (part 6)
Admiral Nelson and the Seaview have lost contact with the flying sub. Captain Crane was decending into the crevase they found in the ocean bed. The flying sub was transmitting a video signal when the suspected cause was discovered. The wall of the undersea crevase has reportedly collapsed on the flying sub, breaking all contact with Captain Crane. Rescue operations are being prepared...
